Water

Buildings crumble like sand castles, people hang on to trees and lampposts for dear life. Screaming is everywhere, as the water has caused this tragedy. A weapon of mass destruction, but also a needed resource for many people, water is one thing that fascinates millions of people today.

Truly there are many types of water found on Earth. Some of those are salt, lake, river, holy, rough, still, and many more. If you think about it there is much night life as day life in the different types of water much like New York City. Most of the life in water is animals or plants. There are many species like fish, amphibians, mammals, and even vegetation. Some examples of animals are piranhas, giant Japanese salamanders, blue whales, and sea cucumbers. During the night different animals come out, when the moon is out and the tide is high. They can go father on the tide without dying, with is as why people stay away from the ocean during the night except those who are very dedicated.

Other than animals there are people who also spend nearly their entire lives in the water, those few are some of the people who go into the ocean during the night. Many people love the water but there are some who hate or fear it. Truly we can never escape water it covers most of our planet. For people who love water there’s a whole section in the summer Olympics and there’s a famous body of water between two pieces of land call the English Channel. The English Channel is a place that many humans and animals swim in but there are some who swim from one piece of land to the other. This is not an easy feat for many, must people would tire out before they where half way so it takes many months of training to get ready for the task of swim the English Channel. Mostly it is dangerous because some many things can go wrong out in the middle nowhere with no land around you.

There are bad things even though water has good qualities. Floods, hurricanes, and tsunamis’ are just a few. These can destroy land and lives. Just look at all the families that became homeless because of hurricane Katrina. But water can also help people who think that their lives are ruined by tragedy’s them or make them happy at the very least. Though many tragedies can happen with water so can miracles for instance, you could be stuck in the middle of the ocean and a current leads you to an island then it starts to rain heavily, or the opposite raft sinks and you drown, as said pros and cons. You or anyone else can never predicted or control water how water will act.

Now the tide resides life is damp but still there hidden but come out like a crab peeking out of its shell. People come and look for family most still shaken some gone forever. Water you can’t blame it or explain why it dose that but it still pulls people into it and will forever and ever.

reaction to "A Day No Pigs Would Die"

The story "A Day No Pigs Would Die" shows a jourany of manhood and a bound between father and son. The main character is named Rob and lives with his aunt, mother, and father on a farm. This is unusal because in times now you wouldn't usally see a 12 year old living with or having older parents, because his parents and aunt are in their sixty's and seventy's. This book also got you into it right away, which I thought was good, but it also means that this is not the kind of book little kids want to read. "A Day No Pigs Would Die" also has a strong voice that let's you feel what Rob felt thourgh out the story, which can help you understand this book better.

The Pearl

Dripping with sea water, sore and tired, you walk down a dirt road to go home to your tiny grass hut to rest and then get up at the crack of dawn to work. Thinking of riches and all the good things you could have like flag stone roads and sweets to your content. Though wealth may be nice, your greed can ruin you and your life with treasure. “The Pearl” tells how a miracle that seems harmless can start a fire of terrors turning into a horrible nightmare all because of one person’s greed.

This story begins with Kino, a poor pearl diver, who finds the wicked pearl.
He wants the best for his family and tries to keep the pearl so he can bring riches to them by selling it for a good price, but its power reversed, and so his entire family is in danger. Then there’s Juana, Kino’s wife who is smart, strong, and a mother. She cares for her family, home, and makes the best of what she has. If I could be a character in this book it would Juana, she is one of the smarter characters who is mentally strong. Because wasn’t depressed or hurt by words that people through at her.

In this story there many more evil people than good, well that’s in the spot light. One of the many evil people is the doctor! That man is one of the lowest life forms on the planet or perhaps the universe! That’s because he only works for money, can’t do his job, and made a baby so sick it seemed liked it could have died. Another person was the priest, he is so selfish. By going to someone’s house to make sure they give money to you is the perfect way to go about financial business. Okay he needs the money but to go to the house that’s just plain rude.
The worst had to be the hunters, they go after Kino to kill him and get the pearl which they didn’t need. Plus there no police so they can kill him and no one will care. Also where are the police? A good guess is under the thumbs of the rich. So they won’t get in trouble unlike the poor.

Overall everyone wants the pearl that belongs to Kino. They don’t realize that they don’t need the pearl and that it probably is going to get them ripped off over and over again until it ends up in a museum. The author probably just wanted you to think about how greedy and selfish people can be due to a stinking pearl which I must say is just a big ball of clam mucus. This story is just plain amazing like how this gift of the gods ripped apart their lives and turned into the devil’s plaything. It’s like in “Pandora’s Box”, it was sent by the gods just to cause havoc. There is an important moral that all people should know in both stories too, for “Pandora’s Box” it was don’t let curiosity over come you, and do not give up hope. For “The Pearl” it was don’t let greed take over your life.

Keep the pearl or destroy it. Be warned if you keep it, it might kill you!
“The Pearl” shows how a dream can turn into a curse and then the devil will rule your life. So be warned: do not let greed lead you to ruin your life like so many people do.

Story body 1

Nearly 13 years later a small infant was found in this pool she looked just like the child who was put in this pool 13 years before but had amazingly long hair and could walk and talk in spite of being what looks like only 5 years old. This girl is the one who will bring death or pleasure where even she went but the people who found her didn’t know that, they thought that she was just a sick orphan.

“LalalalalaLAAAAAAAAAAla! Now this is great, the crops this year were perfect and papa said that we can go to the fair.” This was all a wonderers daydream by a young girl. She was thin, had blond nearly white hair, emerald green eyes, and nice soft pink skin that was covered in bruises, for she had been beaten by her father for no reason. This is the same girl in fact who finds the small child, right about now. “Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh, oh my god oh my god,” ‘a guh w-what who, who are you where a-am I, and why is it so cold.” As you can tell that the first meeting for the two girls didn’t get off on the right foot. So now we will do a short summary of what happens in about the next 15 minutes. The girl the found the child and ran her back to a house which is her home. And during that time we find out her name is Mary and that she has two parents which were just as surprised as her to see the child, and then after making sure she was ok they started to question her. Now this is where we go back in to the story and tell it regularly. “So you don’t remember anything at all?” asked a farmer named Dave (he’s father of Mary) “well I do remember one thing,” “what’s that?” “My name it is Alice Rose Ripper.” … “ really that’s good,” wow this kid is weird and what’s with name, I bet she just made it up off the top of her little head and how can she walk and talk so well when she has to be only 5 years old?! Well this guy thinks rude thoughts what a weirdo thought Alice (she had read his mind for those who didn’t know); I wish he would go away, thought Alice. “well in short will try and find your parents all right,” “Hm, oh well thanks for the offer but there actually in town and some thing scared me, that why you found me passed out because I tripped and blacked out,” but the look on Dave’s face told her he wasn’t believing her at all and he also wasn’t let her go so easily. “Well I’m sure they wouldn’t mind us dropping you off right?” drat “well, fine I lied, but I’d really rather just go back to the orphanage I came from all right,” “Why you poor dear don’t worry well take you in,” this came from Kate the farmer’s wife. Oh god, where the heck are all of these idiots coming from. “Um, p-papa,” “what is it you brat,” “well the traders are in town today aren’t you going” “yes I am but when we get back you better have everything cleaned up or no table scraps, GOT IT!” “Y-yes papa” SLAM… Alice got bored and spoke “well their a horse’s butt” “oh don’t say that their, their… ok their a horse’s butt” Alice stared at her for what seemed like forever. “Do want him gone and the wife” “yes” Mary mumbled “well then get your stuff,” Alice started to smile like the Cheshire cat while Mary just stared at her like she was an angle, “were leaving, now.”

story intro

well I haven't been posting for some time now so here you go as please tell me what you think.

“Shhh, sleep my darling sleep, you’ll be safe soon so, please sleep,” a shadowy figure slowly put a young infant into a shallow pond as small as fowl. This child was wrapped completely in cloth except for its face that seemed to glow in the treacherous night. The features of this child’s face would have made the devil cry, because her face was perfect and godly, the eyes changed color as well as her hair, skin as white as the moon and seem to shine as well. She was perfect but different like there was a cold evil feeling that would never let you feel joy again. And as the famine figure put down the girl she sang as if this was there last night. As she sang with a pain in her voice something happened the small baby closed her eyes and sank into the pond darkness surrounded her as if she was swallowed by a beast. Into the darkness of the pond as if it was miles deep not just a few inches.

intro of Black Stalion and Red Mare

Intro: As you sit on a hill you look down to the valley where you hope the horses will appear. Soon you see two, the leader of the group and a powerful stallion, and his partner, a pretty mare. As they race down the hill you wish you could join them and be free, you know can’t but hope that no one will find out about the band of wild horses. In the “the Black Stallion and the Red Mare” a short story by Gladys Frances Lewis you learn that sometimes you don’t want to do the right thing because it hurts.

Conclusion: As night comes you begin to cry because all the horses that you care for so deeply are gone. They’ve been stolen from the land that they called home and now will never again be free in tell they leave this place forever. “The Black Stallion and the Red Mare” tells how pain can come from doing the right thing.

Intros

The Clearing
Neighbors can be heavenly and some can be horrendous some as you. In the beginning of the short story “The Clearing” all the men and boys from two families can not stand each other. They must learn that you can’t judge a book by its cover.

A Secret for Two
Secrets, good and bad will be revealed to something. You never believe this, but it will happen. “A Secret for Two” shows how that can happen in one of the worst ways possible.

The Circuit
As the steaming sun beats down, sweat covers your exhausted body and you pick yet another grape. You soon start to daydream of playing the trumpet, but you know that can not happen for who you are. “The Circuit” shows that families will always be together no matter what happens.
