Mrs. Mallard was a women with heart trouble who’s husband had just died, crying she began to think. Then understood she did not love him that much and the death was for the greater good. She looked out an open window and saw her new life but couldn’t get to it with dying. This shows that women did not have that much of a chose in life such as they married friends. This would terrify anyone in the 21st century at all points of view.
